today was as usual, busy and crazy.
from housework, to feeding my baby girl her antibiotics and vit c.
but thank god, i managed to take a break and head down to my favorite craft store.
spotlight in plaza singapura.
for those who do not know what the shop sells, it has everything.
from buttons to fabrics, to kitcheware.
and the shop originates from australia.
but right now, it is undergoing some renovation work.
so if you mind the messy and confusing shopping experience, wait after october.
they'll be ready by then.

okays. to share some of the items in my shopping bag today

embellishment tags, sewing pins, and cardmaking kit.

vintage laces and a rim of knitting thread.

            beautiful satin roses.

had lunch with dad, and decided to bring baby down to the vet clinic.
felt a round lump near the left side of her cheek, so that got me worried.
headed down to the animal clinic in clementi.
consulted the vet, and holla! infection in the teeth and gum area.
so, antibiotics for 10days. poor girl.

alrighty. off to hit some notes.
will do more picture posts later.

Rings, Bangles/Bracelets and other pretty little things

An enchanting vintage hairpiece that baby got for me from the flea market in aussie, brisbane, but from a different vendor. Isn't it breath-taking? I adore it so much!

Vintage ring that baby got from the flea market, same lady who got the other pieces from germany. adorable!!

From a local flea market. The matching rings to the matching earrings i got (from the earlier post!). 3 for $10 too!

Vintage ring from the States. Doesn't this looks like a typical chinese door-knocker? Got this from one of the mini flea stalls from Peace Centre. $10!

I ordered this from LemonKitsCharms again. Vintage bracelet. 1940's or 1950's, maybe. goldtone. From the States again.

Vintage belt that baby got for me from the same lady from the flea market. I love this belt so much! Haven worn yet though.

Vintage bangle, a pass-me-down from grandma. Pleated design. Too big for me so im keeping it in the collecting box.

Vintage Versace watch from grandma. Not run on battery, but you get it alive and kicking by winding it up! How cool is that...? This is my very first piece of watch that has this function. Apparently, in the older generation, elders love watches like these. More lasting they say.

Vintage bangle from grams. It's a pass-me-down again. But i love it! From the States again too, Gold rustic tone, pretty!

Found this baby from nuroots, holland V. Signed 'Sarah Cov'. The full name is Sarah Coventry. Apparently, it is a famous brand for vintage jewelry back in the States. Call me Lucky!

Necklaces and Pendants

Vintage gold bow pendant. Another pass-me-down again. I'm so lucky.
Vintage heart necklace with diamonds from grandma again. 18K gold. Aint this beauty pretty?

Vintage jade necklace from grandma. A pass-me-down again. I adore this piece.

A gift from baby. Same place she got the vintage earrings. Apparently, the vendor from the Brisbane flea market brings in vintage pieces from Germany. Isnt this piece stunning? Loveeee it!

Another piece baby bought from the same lady. Also from Germany. This is gorgeous! Thick Ropes and big centrepiece makes this huge fashion statement irresistable! Lovveee it too!

This is a pass-down from grams. From the states. Notice the small little dimantes inside the pendant? They move! Gorgeous piece.

I got this set fron Nurrots, Holland V. From the States too. Enamel and gold-tone. Stunning. Earrings are clip-ons. Ouch!

Also another piece from Nuroots, Holland Village. Rustic gold-tone. Enchanting isn't it?

Vintage Earrings (part 3)

These are from a flea market. 3 for $10. Got matching rings too. Will upload the pics later.

Vintage guess earrings. From the states. Gold-tone and silver-tone (the one with a pearl stud). Got them since i was a kid. Full of memories!

Lovely got these 4 pairs for me from Aussie. flea market near her area, Brisbane. 4 for AU$10. Freakingly and stunningly cheap. Love them to bits and pieces!

These are a gift from my grams when i was a little girl, when i first got my ear-pierced (OUCH!!). From the States. Full of memories too! Ain't they cute looking?

A pass-down from grandma to mum, and now to me. Red enamel and gold-tone, with a single rhinestone on each side.

Another pass-down from grandma to mum and then me. Faux pearl and gold-tone rim. Not clip-ons, thank god. From the States.

Yet another pass-down from grandma. These are also made from faux pearls. Gold-tone. Again, from the States.

Another gift from godma. Vintage Fiorucci clip-ons. From the States too. Made from plated white-gold i think. Love this piece, but i do not wear them because it's clip-ons (OUCH again!). So it's into my collecting box.

Vintage Earrings (part two)

Ordered from LemonKitcharms. Carved flower, material resembles ivory-like, but definitely not real ivory (i'm anti-kill-elephants-for-beautiful-jewelry!). Anyways. This is clip-on.

Ordered this from LemonKitscharms again. Very big studded vintage earrings, but yet very light. Goldtone and blue enamel...with some carving on the goldtone area. Quite pretty.

Bought this little babies from Chinatown point. One of the boutiques (shown in my earlier post!) that sells apparels too. A pair for $4, # for $10 (one missing because i gave it away to my aussie aunt staying here for her hols!). They are known to be imported from Italy. Made from plated gold. Stunning.

Gift from godma again. Hand-woven with coloured threads from Australia. Made from Silver. Rustic and pretty. One of my favourite pieces.

Also another gift from godma. Made of silver again, and it has an amethyst rock embraced in the middle with the silver wires, and the bottom has a ball bearing enclosed. From the states too. This is one of the best unique pieces I ever own.

Vintage Earrings (part one)

This was a gift from my godma. Not too sure how old is this piece (she never told me!!). But i know it's hand-carved beads. From the States. Pretty.

This was also a gift from my godma. Also from the States. Orange hand-blown beads and rhinestones. Looks very Indian-y, very oriental. Love this to bits!

This is also from my godma. From the states too. Both the sun-faces and the stars and moons have a rustic feel. Looks big but not heavy. Very mystical!

Ain't this pair of apple earrings pretty? I stumbled upon this beauty in Holland V. Shop name is 'Nuroots', and they bring in pieces from the States. They sell pretty vintage clothings, and needles to say, jewelry. This pair of apples took my breath away and I couldnt pass on this baby.

Ordered this from the same blogshop (LemonKitsCharms). Not too sure when this is from. maybe before the 1970's. Goldtone and enamel. charming.

Vintage Brooches

Vintage Versace brooch. Gift from grams when i was a kid.

A pass-me-down from grams. Vintage faux pearl brooch from the States. Gold-tone and in very good condition...!

Vintage Anne Kleine music note brooch from my piano teacher when i was a girl. Love this to bits.

Hand-me-down again from grandma, to mum and then me. From the States. Penguin adorned with pretty little rhinestones and Enamel. Cute!

Got this red hat pin from an online blogshop (LemonKitscharms). She has loads of pretty lil' vintage beauties which she probably has brought it in from many countries. This is one of them. Most likely from 1940's?or perhaps, 1950's. Hmmm.

This mouse in acorn brooch is adorable. Signed "hallmark". One of the brooch pieces i adore so much. Also got this from LemonKitsCharms. The mouse somehow resembles my chinchillas, especially with that cute pose.

Mother-of-pearl pin. In goldtone, very small but yet pretty. Most probably from the 1950's - 1960's (I think). Also got this from LemonKitscharms.

i always have a love and passion for vintage jewelry, and i never fail to keep a lookout for them on the streets when i'm out venturing. In my country, i hardly can find boutiques selling them, only a couple of them. So i usually resort to hunting them online. My collection is starting to grow and I have some collection which is a pass-me-down beaty from grandma. I will be posting some of my personal lovely beauties in my later post. enjoy!
